Since the theater, 8920 Otis Ave., has not been open to the public in more than 20 years, there’s much to do before show time. The venue is receiving a deep cleaning, new paint and some minor repairs. People interested in volunteering or donating to the cause can visit www.bringbackthetheater.org. Season tickets are available for $250.
The troupe’s wish list is long, and used items will be greatly appreciated. A sampling includes speakers, an amplifier, a laptop computer, headsets, basic tools, nails, screws, video and lighting equipment, furniture, props and paint supplies.
“We pride ourselves in recycling and reusing and reusing equipment,” a spokesman said. “Please help us bring back this wonderful, grand theater … because the show must go on!”
