Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre is satisfying patron’s appetites for tongue-in-cheek comedy with Little Shop of Horrors, on stage now through Nov. 17.

The shocking Broadway smash about a man-eating plant and its quest for global domination was created by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin).

Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy rock musical with music by Alan Menken and lyrics and a book by Howard Ashman. The story follows a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors. The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop, and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, “Somewhere That’s Green,” and “Suddenly, Seymour.”

Beef & Boards is at 9301 Michigan Road. Tickets range from $45-$70 and include Beef & Boards’ dinner buffet and select beverages.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 317-872-9664, Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. A discount of $6 per ticket is available for children ages 3-15. Children 3 and under will not be admitted. Show details and schedule are available at beefandboards.com.

*Wear fire-resistant costumes
*Make sure children can see well through face masks
*Don’t wear masks or disguises into businesses
*Adults should accompany young children and children with special needs
*Go out in daylight hours if possible or carry a flashlight if you’ll be out after dark
