An Old-Fashioned Christmas
The Franklin Township Historical Society’ welcomes the public to its annual old-fashioned Christmas celebration at 6 p.m. Sunday at The Meeting House (built in 1871), 6510 S. Franklin Rd. The gala will include the singing of carols with accompaniment from the building’s original antique pump organ, readings of “The Night Before Christmas” and “The Christmas Story,” punch and cookies and a candle luminaria lining the pathway to the building.

Boy Scout Troop 92 is selling fruit baskets for $15 through Sunday. For people who don’t like fruit, they can purchase a basket and donate to U.S. troops stationed at Stout Field. Free Christmas Concert
The Greater Greenwood Community Band will present its annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Greenwood High School, 615 W. Smith Valley Road. While admission is free, a donation of canned goods for the Salvation Army’s pantry is requested.
