Who should be incarcerated in a mental hospital? Who has the right to decide whether an unstable person is capable of standing trial in America? Those are some of the questions that a court must grapple within “Nuts,” a melodrama opening Friday at Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave..

Running for six performances over two weekends, the production – recommended for mature audiences only due to language, violence and adult situations – will feature Southsider Tim Spradlin in a directorial debut at the theater.

Curtain time is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $16 for students and senior citizens (age 62 and up), $18 for adults. Reservations can be arranged by visiting www.buckcreek
players.com or calling 317-862-2270.
