Open House at Little & Sons
Little & Sons Funeral Home will host an open house from noon-5 p.m. Sunday to showcase its remodeled facility at 4901 E. Stop 11 Road. The event will feature a presentation by Robert Berridge, a recognized authority on Norman Rockwell, and two seminars detailing benefits that are available to veterans.
Music Festival in Greenwood The Greater Greenwood Community Band is hosting a free music festival from noon-7 p.m. Saturday at Surina Park Amphitheatre, just south of Main and Meridian streets and behind the fire station. The program kicks off with the Bloomington Community Band, followed by the Lake Area Community Band at 1 p.m., the Crossroads Brass Band at 2 p.m., BMH Jazz Orchestra at 3 p.m., Zionsville Concert Band at 4 p.m., Hamilton County Community Band at 5 p.m., and Greater Greenwood Community Band at 6 p.m. In the event of rain, the concerts will be moved inside to the Greenwood Community Center. Food and drink will be available, and concertgoers can bring lawn chairs, picnics and pets on leashes.
Turkey Shoot

Blood Drive

Kiwanis Hosting Golf Outing
The Kiwanis Club of Perry Township will sponsor a golf outing at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Winding River Golf Course, 8015 Mann Road. The event will feature a $10,000 hole-in-one prize and contests for putting, longest drive and closest to the pin and a silent auction. Children’s Car Seat Safety
Services Franciscan Health will host a clinic on the proper use of car seats and booster seats for youngsters from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at its Weight Loss Center, 5230 E. Stop 11 Road. Car seats will be provided for families who can prove they are receiving public assistance. Restraint seats will be available but a $20 donation per family is requested.
