Oil Paintings Will Be Displayed
​

The oil paintings of Chuck Horsman will be displayed April 1-27 at the Southside Art League, 299 E. Broadway St., Greenwood. Horsman, a graduate of Roncalli and a 1988 graduate of the University of Indianapolis, is a graphic designer for his company, Chuck Horsman Design. His landscapes and portrait paintings are displayed at the Stutz Building, Pro Art Gallery in Greenwood and on his website, chuckhorsmanart.com. A reception in his honor will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 14. The gallery’s regular hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday. Call 317-882-5562 to arrange for a viewing outside of those hours.

Karaoke and Trivia Contests at American Legion
American Legion Post 355, 7610 S. Meridian St., offers free karaoke from 8 a.m.-midnight every Friday and trivia contests (prizes awarded) from 7-10 p.m. every Saturday. Sandwiches and a full bar are available. Info: 317-865-7610.

Rummage Sale at St. Paul Hermitage
The Ave Maria Guild of St. Paul Hermitage, 501 N. 17th Ave., will hold a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday. The sale will include clothing, shoes, purses, linens, household items, books, cassettes, toys, stuffed animals, etc. People who have items to donate should call Vicki at 317-223-3687. 

Rummage Sale at Holy Name
Holy Name’s Altar Society will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Name Parish Life Center, 21 N. 16th St., Beech Grove. The sale will feature linens, clothes, electronics, dishes, jewelry, knickknacks and much more. 

Free Easter Egg Hunts
As part of its monthly outreach programs, Emmaus Lutheran Church, 1224 Laurel St., will host Easter egg hunts (held according to age groups) at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8. There also will be children’s activities and snacks.

Benefit for Tails & Trails Rescue
 “Spay-ghetti and Meatballs for Mutts,” a fundraiser being hosted by Tails & Trails Rescue, will take place from 1:30-5 p.m. Sunday at the Indiana City Brewing Co., 24 Shelby St. A silent auction will run from 1:30-4 p.m., and spaghetti dinners with salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverages will be served at 2:30 p.m. The event will also feature live music, raffles and an adoption fair. Tickets, $35 each or two for $60, must be purchased in advance at https://goo.gl/t3wQKS.

Rummage Sale Will Benefit School, Food Pantry
Emmaus Lutheran Church, 1224 Laurel St., will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday to benefit Emmaus School and the church’s food pantry. 

Manual Grads Planning Birthday Bash

Manual High School’s Class of 1965 will host a “70 is the new 50 birthday bash” Friday, May 5. The event is free, but organizers need a count for the food. Info: www.manualclass1965.com or Sandy Drexler at 317-784-3455.

Retired Perry Township Teachers Meeting for Lunch
Retired teachers from Perry Township Schools will hold their spring meeting at 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 3, at MCL Restaurant & Bakery, 3630 S. East St., where they will have lunch at 11:15 p.m. Rick Shaffer will speak about the Indianapolis 500. Info: Anne Sanders at 317-340-4527.

Want to Help Clean Up German Park?
The German-American Klub is looking for volunteers to help spruce up German Park, 8600 S. Meridian St., at 9 a.m. Saturday. Those planning to help should bring rakes. Coffee and donuts will available at 9 a.m. The rain date is Sunday.

Informational programs on advance directives – documents that protect your rights, determine your medical treatment and help your family and doctor understand your wishes about your health care – will be hosted this month by Franciscan Health.
