UIndy Will Host Girls Basketball Camp
The University of Indianapolis will host a basketball clinic for girls in Grades 7-12 on June 23; a camp for third- through eighth-graders July 16-19; and an elite camp Aug. 11 and 12 for freshmen through seniors. Visit camps.uindy.edu for more information. 

Card Party and Raffle
The Ave Marie Guild will host its spring card party and quilt raffle from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Hermitage, 501 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove. Those playing will be asked to make a donation of $10, which covers lunch and door prizes.   

Looking for 100 Good Men 
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana kicked off its annual 100 Men in 50 Days campaign Saturday. The campaign is aimed at involving individuals and organizations of all kinds to participate or spread the word about the importance of mentoring. Nearly 70 percent of the children waiting to be matched are boys, and the average wait time is about one year due to the lack of male volunteers. Info: email rbelbu

Vendor Space for Senior Expo
The Social of Greenwood will host its 20th annual Senior Expo from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, May 3, at The Gathering Place, 1495 W. Main St. The event will feature health screenings, vendors that specialize in services for seniors and door prizes. Gardening Program 
A series a gardening workshops at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4702 S. East St., continues with a community meal at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 and 22. There will be individual plots and community garden space available. Free baby-sitting is available. Reservations are not required but appreciated. Info: 317-783-7283.

Summer Camp 
Registration for SS. Francis & Clare’s summer camp for pre-K children through eighth-graders is underway. The camp runs 7 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays May 29-July 30 with flexible drop-off and pickup hours. Parent can register their children for as little or as much time needed. Morning and afternoon snacks and lunch will be provided. Info: 317-859-4673.

Recycling Fair
CDM Computer, 7340 E. Washington St., will host a recycling fair from noon-3 p.m. Saturday. While computers, laptops, keyboards, hard drives, printers and computer accessories can be dropped off, TVs, CRT monitors and batteries are unacceptable.

Perry Cultural Festival
The fourth annual Perry Cultural Festival will be staged from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Baxter YMCA, 7900 Shelby St. The event will feature authentic cultural performances, workshops, music, dancing and food. 

Comedy Comes to Stage of Epilogue Players 
Epilogue Players will present “Maggie’s Choice” on weekends May 4-20. The laughs begin when Maggie chooses to find out what life holds in addition to being a wife and a mother. Stir in a wacky mom, a confused husband, an adult daughter who won’t grow up, two lovable sidekicks and the hilarity reaches an epic proportion. Curtain time at 1849 N Alabama St. is 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. Artwork of Youth Will Be Displayed
Re-Generation Indy, a group of artists that host workshops and art shows for young artists, will showcase the work of youth artisans throughout May at the Art Bank, 811 Massachusetts Ave. The group is accepting art supplies for its program. Info: 317-624-1010. 

Music Fest Seeking Sponsors and Vendors
The Greater Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce is seeking sponsors and vendors for its Music on Main gala, which will be staged Aug. 4. The event will feature food trucks, arts and crafts, games, health products, a beer garden and much more. Info: 317-800-8499 or info@beechgrove

Volunteers Needed
Heartland Hospice is seeking volunteers for its No One Dies Alone program. Volunteers will provide support and companionship to patients and their families while vigil sitting at the bedside of the dying. Training is provided. Info: Dana Criss at 317-251-3012.

Purse Bingo
Delta Lambda chapter of Tri Kappa will host purse bingo at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Greenwood Moose Lodge, 813 W. Smith Valley Road. Players who bring a canned food item will receive an extra entry for a door prize. Bicycle Rides Will Benefit Veterans
Riding to support veterans and first responders while bringing attention to the mental health crisis created by post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, hundreds of bicyclists will participate in the Optum Atterbury Honor Ride Saturday, May 19. Free to wounded veterans and open to the public, the 27-, 40- and 63-mile rides start and end at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh. There will be live music, food and refreshments afterward. Quilters Will Meet
The Southside group of the Quilters Guild of Indianapolis will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, a Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St. Terri Gunn from Quilt Quarters in Carmel will demonstrate quilting tools and dies. Info: http://www.quiltguildindy.net. 

Church Serves Free Lunches 
University Heights United Methodist Church, 4002 Otterbein Ave. and adjacent to the University of Indianapolis, will serve free lunches from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday. 

Free Meals, Clothing and Hygiene Items
Free hot meals, clothing and hygiene products will be available from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 725 S. State St.

Classes Focus on Cardiovascular Health
“Am I safe from a heart attack?” is one of the free cardiovascular health and nutrition courses being offered by the Franciscan Health Heart Center, 8111 S. Emerson Ave. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. April 24, and registration is available by calling 317-782-4422 or visiting franciscanhealth.org/heartclass. “Meatless meals made easy” is at 6:30 p.m. April 25. Doctors say vegetarian meals may help people to live longer. “Protect yourself from stroke” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. May 17.

Keep Southport Beautiful 
The 14th annual Keep Southport Beautiful Day cleanup will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Coffee, hot chocolate and energy foods will be available at the Southport Community Center, 6901 Derbyshire Road, before the cleanup. Volunteers are asked to bring rakes and flat shovels. Register by emailing duane.bldgcom@gmail.com or visiting www.southport.in.gov. The first 50 people who register will receive a free T-shirt.
