When passengers depart June 1 on a luxurious motor coach, they will be treated to Long’s donuts and snacks. They can also play games and win prizes.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and have dinner before checking into your hotel. The first stop will be Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., where a cruise through the Soo Locks is on the agenda.
Vacationers can watch ships enter and depart the locks from the observation area or browse the unique shops and boutiques. Then, head toward the Point Iroquois Lighthouse and take in the remarkable view of Lake Superior while enjoying dinner at one of the many fine restaurants.
The trip will also feature a ferryboat ride to peaceful Mackinac Island, where the only mode of transportation is by horse and carriage. Take a leisurely tour of the quaint island and see splendid sites like the Arch Rock and Lilac Lane.
Later, cross the Straits of Mackinac again and enjoy another lovely dinner. Then take a guided tour of Mackinaw City. Next, see the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, dating back to 1892. After spending some of your free time at Mackinaw Crossings, visit colonial Michilimackinac – a 1700s-era village.
