The exhibit will roll into Greenwood at 2:45 p.m. behind a large escort of motorcyclists, many of whom are veterans. After an opening ceremony the portraits can be viewed from 4-7 p.m. Friday’s hours are from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; hours are 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday.
“We invite everyone to honor all branches of the armed forces, past, present and future,” said Mike Strahle, exhibit director and a retired member of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 25th Marines.
Anita Miller said she created the memorial to heal family members and their loved ones after suffering such loss in 2005. “Behind each portrait we feel the honor and sacrifice of the thousands of men and women who have served our country.”
