Fiet began to pursue her interest in oil painting in 2005, after retiring as a social worker with children in foster care and with the elderly in nursing homes. Her favorite subjects are landscapes, seascapes and flowers, and she paints in a realistic/impressionistic style.
Her paintings are in corporate and private collections and are owned by individuals throughout the United States and in Europe.
With each painting, Fiet said she attempts to capture the beauty of nature while creating a “witness through art.” She has put together a unique program using her paintings and a biblical message, which she offers to churches and small groups.
Fiet was born and raised in Wisconsin, and as a minister’s wife has lived in Michigan, Ohio, Colorado and Indiana. She enjoys spending time with her family.
