Bible Program for Children
A free seven-week Bible club for children in Grades K-5 will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays, June-July 19, at Grace Church, 5605 S. Franklin Road. The program will feature Bible lessons and games. Preregistration is encouraged and may be done at www.indygracechu
rch.org or by calling 317-590-2681.

Only One Library Branch Open Over Holiday Weekend
With the exception of InfoZone in The Children’s Museum, 3000 N. Meridian St., all Indianapolis Public Library locations will be closed Saturday-Monday in observance of Memorial Day. InfoZone will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. all three days.

Donations Sought for Rummage Sale
The Franklin Township Historical Society is seeking items (no clothing) for its rummage sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Civic League, 8822 Southeastern Ave. Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, June 2. 

Workshop Will Focus on Active Living Goals
Area residents interested in building a healthier Southside through more walkable and bikeable trails and greater accessibility for people of all ages and abilities should attend the active living workshop from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Southport United Methodist Church, 1947 E. Southport Road. Register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GreaterSouthportALW by May 30. 

Promoting a Safe Community
The Beech Grove Police Department will kick off its summer promotion of police-community partnerships from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Sarah T. Bolton Park, 1300 Churchman Ave. The event, designed to place an emphasis on the safety of children, will feature identification kits, free pizza, games, an obstacle course, dunk tank, cotton candy and prizes.

Republicans Will Meet
Perry Township Republicans will meet for a social from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Scotty’s Brewhouse, 4530 Southport Crossing Drive. A coffee will be held from 8-9 a.m. Monday, May 29, at the Perry Township Government Center, 4925 Shelby St. 
 
Toastmasters Meet
The Vineyard Toastmasters Club meets from 7 p.m. every Monday at the Perry Township Government Center, 4925 Shelby St., where members can gain confidence and leadership skills by improving their communication and listening techniques. Visitors are welcome. Info: email marlina.schmid@gmail.com.

Learn How To Sing in Four-part Harmony

The White River Sound Women’s Chorus welcomes ladies of all ages and musical backgrounds to learn how to sing in four-part harmony. Rehearsals are from 7-9 p.m. most Tuesdays, and newcomers needn’t know how to read music. Info or location: Sharon at 317-446-6103.

Benefit Concert for Concord Center
Acclaimed jazz singer Brenda Williams and her band will perform a benefit concert for the Concord Community Center at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Athenaeum, 401 E. Michigan St. Tickets, $20 each or two for $35, can be reserved at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/happy-hour-with-brenda-williams-tickets-33685424010.
