Open House for Pre-K Program
An open house for Bethany Early Ministry’s pre-K program – a Level 3 Paths to Quality provider that accepts children of parents who receive assistance from the Child Care and Development Fund – will be held from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at 4702 S. East St. Children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years can be enrolled in the faith-based initiative. Language translators will be available.
Church Serves Free Lunches
University Heights United Methodist Church, 4002 Otterbein Ave., adjacent to the University of Indianapolis, will serve free lunches from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Free Meals, Clothing and Hygiene Items
Free hot meals, clothing and hygiene items will be available from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 725 S. State St.
Reunion for Former Students of IPS No. 18
A reunion for students who attended Abraham Lincoln IPS No. 18 between 1955 and 1965 will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Garfield Park Community Church, 743 E. Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive, where coffee and donuts will be served. A tour of the school follows at 1:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend. Reservations: Pat (Freeman) Walker at 317-535-5150.
