SUBMITTED PHOTO Revolving around an eclectic group of pubescents vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” will remain on stage for the next two weekends at Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the children spell their way through a series of words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life-unaffirming ding of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Curtain time is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets, $16 for children, students and seniors citizens 62 and older, $18 for adults, can be reserved by calling 862-2270 or visiting www.buckcreekplayers.com. Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more when tickets are purchased online.
