St. Mary Orthodox Church, 102 E. Broadway St. Greenwood, will hold a bake and rummage sale from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. American and ethnic sandwiches will be available.

Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Main St., will host a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. The sale will feature various baked goods, holiday items, kitchenware, children’s toys and clothing and more.
Rummage Sale
The Ave Maria Guild of St. Paul Hermitage, 501 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove will hold a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25. The sale will feature clothing, shoes, purses, linens, household items, books, CDs, toys and much more. Donations may be dropped off between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23. University Heights United Methodist Church, 4002 Otterbein Ave. and adjacent to the University of Indianapolis, will serve free lunches from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Free hot meals, clothing and hygiene items will be available from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 725 S. State St.
Kiwanians Planning Golf Outing
The Kiwanis Club of Perry Township will host a golf outing Thursday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. at Winding River Golf Course, 8015 Mann Road. The cost is $75 per individual, $300 per foursome and includes beverages on the course and dinner; hole sponsorships are $300. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, and there will be a silent auction. In addition, the event will serve to honor the late Ken Wheeler, a civic leader who owned Cardinal Insurance. Tea Tasting Will Benefit Breast Cancer Survivors
A tea tasting from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Beech Grove’s Rustic Root Tea Room, 626 Main St., will raise funds for the Pink Ribbon Connection, whose mission is to serve breast cancer survivors and their families. The event will promote the launch of two blends of Nelson’s Teas, with a portion of the sales going to the connection. Info: 317-255-7465.
