Multi-ministry Community Day
The second annual Multi-ministry Community Day will run from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at 3429 E. Prospect St. The free event will feature food, prizes, bounce houses, face painting, a magician, clowns, music games and information about community services and resources.
Band Will Present Patriotic Concerts
The Greater Greenwood Community Band will perform free concerts from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the MacAllister Center for the Performing Arts at Garfield Park, 2450 Shelby St., and from 7-9 p.m.
Friday, June 29, at the Greenwood Amphitheater, just south of Main and Meridian streets and behind the fire station. Both concerts will feature patriotic music. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers (no glass or alcohol).
Swim for Free, Soccer Camps
Free admission to all aquatic centers, including Perry Park, 451 E. Stop 11 Road, and Garfield Park, 2450 Shelby St., will be the norm when Indy Park hosts Pack the Parks from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday,June 30. In addition, there will be games, giveaways and concerts. Also on the menu at Garfield Park is a nature walk at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Arts Center, and coed soccer camps for 4 to 13-year-olds from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. June 25-29 and July 23-27. Indy Mega-Adoption Event
More than 1,000 dogs and cats will be up for adoption at the IndyMega-Adoption Event, which runs from noon-6 p.m. Saturday andSunday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Animals of all sizes, ages, breeds and color will be available. They are fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. The adoption fee is $30, and the pets will go home with their new owners the same day.
Children Can Learn How to Luge
White Castle and USA Luge are bringing the 2018 “Slider Search”to Indianapolis.
