SUBMITTED PHOTOS Karen Stanley, an artist who specializes in impressionistic landscapes and still life subjects in oil, is exhibiting her work throughout the month at the Southside Art League. Stanley said her love of art was initially inspired by her father’s sketching and wood carving.
Her first exposure to painting was in the medium of watercolor, but she has focused on oil as a medium since 2010.
