An explosion at the Comfort Inn, 602 E. Thompson Road, blew out a rear wall of the hotel. A leaking propane tank was blamed for the blast, but investigators didn’t know what detonated it. Maintenance man Emory Bradley suffered burns over 60 percent of his body and was in critical condition at Wishard Hospital.
