A life celebrated

Jacquelyn Rose Weedon, 71, went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 22, 2017. Jackie was a huge Colts fan and loved IU, NASCAR, boating and four-wheeling with her husband, Rick.

She spoiled and loved her family. Jackie retired from Eli Lilly after 25 years working in their IT department and moved to the most beautiful home and land you could wish for close to Lake Cumberland. Watching their horses in the pasture and dogs running and playing was like a dream, along with the hundreds of hummingbirds she fed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Jackson. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Rick; mother, Fernrose Jackson Altum; son, Brett (Kelly) Sawyers; daughter, Dawn Rene (Doug) Koepper; granddaughter, Amanda Koepper; stepgrandsons, Austin and Alex Smith; stepgreat-grandson A.J. Smith; and siblings, Judy Hanlin, Harold Jackson, Jodee Lawson and Michele Rees.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E 92nd St., New York, NY 10128, or aspca.org.
Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indpls., handled the funeral services. She was laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.

SUBMITTED PHOTO The Jets, led by Riff (Ben Cullen, center), learn to play it cool as they anticipate a rumble with their rival gang the Sharks in Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre’s production of “West Side Story,” on stage through Oct. 1. The enduring Shakespeare tale of Romeo and Juliet is adapted and taken to the streets of New York City’s West Side. After meeting at a dance, Maria (Courtney Cheatham) and Tony (Glenn DeVar) become star-crossed lovers caught between the opposing gangs. But they are able to find love despite the ongoing tension of prejudice, hate and rebellion that surrounds them. Tickets range from $42.50 to $67.50 and include a buffet dinner. A show schedule is listed at www.beefandboards.com, and reservations can be arranged by calling 307-872-9664.
