| Sergio Roman has opened Guerrerors Mexican Restaurant in Edgewood Shoppes, 5905 Madison Ave., Suite A, which is nestled between Edgewood Dental and Ez Tanz. The restaurant is family-friendly, according to Roman, who offers daily lunch specials and combos from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. See his ad on Page A8. Specials include fajitas, steak burritos, pollo ranchero, chili Colorado, arroz con pollo, sour cream enchildas, chimichangas, burrito fajitias, taco salads and pollo con calabazitas. A children’s menu is offered for $1.99 on Mondays. Greg Dant, a friend of mine, shared that Mey, one of Roman’s servers, is one of the best in the Midwest. The restaurant that Mey used to work at closed, so Dant was glad to find him at Guerrerors. Our staff members and their families have enjoyed dining there and getting carryout since the eatery opened Aug. 1. We always try something new, and the entrees always get a thumbs-up. While I’m a huge fan of Roman’s mild salsa, business partner Denise Summers is a fan of his cheese dip. Seeing new businesses open in our community is a positive.
