 Erica Heinekamp (left) and LeeAnn Zatkulak were the inaugural recipients of the Mary & Martha Awards presented by the Sisters of St. Benedict of Our Lady of Grace Monastery. Chosen for their outstanding examples of prayer and service, the ladies were recognized in front their parents and friends at the awards ceremony, which featured a coffee house and dessert bar.  SUBMITTED PHOTOS The Southport Lions Club and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield recently teamed for a day of service at the Southport Community Center. The volunteers spread mulch, painted parking bumpers and benches and cleaned up around the park and creek. Visitors to the park were quick to notice the improvements, said Lion AJ Johnson.  |
