A lifelong Southsider, he was born Oct. 4, 1915, and graduated from Southport High School in 1933. He married Margaret Clayton in 1937 and they have two children, Betty and Don, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Miller, who never met a stranger, was a member of the Missionaries Quartet through Edgewood United Methodist Church for 30 years. The ensemble sang at churches throughout Indiana and once in Chicago and Buffalo, N.Y. He was in the Scottish Rite Choir for three years and still sings in the choir at the Franklin Masonic Home. He plays the piano for a Bible study.
He retired from Riddick Piano as a salesman and L.S.Ayres.
