Franklin Central High School’s Choral Department won grand champion awards in two divisions March 11 at the Brownsburg Spectacular. Top honors went to High Voltage, the all-female show choir under the direction of Andrew Knaup with choreography by Jared Voss and Tori Burns, and the FC Singers, the advanced mixed show choir under the guidance of Bradley Gardner with choreography by Voss and Burns. The groups also won honors for their vocals and choreography. Tori Carroll from High Voltage and Josh Harrigan of FC Singers were named the outstanding performers in their divisions. Runner-up honors went to Accents, the intermediate mixed show choir, and Encores, which includes Mallory Hutchinson, who was honored as the outstanding performer in her division. Dillon Bertz and Harrigan were top finishers in solo vocal. The ensembles will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the Frankin Central auditorium, 6215 S. Franklin Road.
