Glander was awarded a Junior Mannies Scholarship, which is presented to students who have physical handicaps but have contributed to their schools’ athletic program.
Elliott, also physically handicapped was awarded the Marion Crawley Scholarship for his accomplishments in basketball and academics and his volunteer service.
“Joey and D.J. are deserving of the scholarships they received,” said coach Michael Wantz. “Being a manager is at times a thankless job, but we strive hard at Roncalli to make sure our managers know they are a vital part of the team and the program.
“Joey and D.J. have gone above and beyond what has been asked of them, and as a result, make everyone else’s job easier. These two young men will be successful in whatever they choose to do in the future.”
The association has awarded more than $572,000 in scholarships over the years.
