The breakfast is one of the many activities made possible by supporters of the program, which rewards students for academic excellence, outstanding attendance and being good leaders.   Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy is helping students to form friendships.
The school now has two Buddy Benches on the playground. If a student needs someone to talk to or play with, he or she simply sits on one of the benches so other children will know to reach out and be a friend. Resurrection Lutheran Church supplied the benches, and Bill Bryant (left) and Shane Jenkins, who are employed by the facilities department at Perry Township Schools installed them. SUBMITTED PHOTOS |
