Roncalli junior Shayla Cabalan has been named to the Youth Advisory Board for the 2015 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University.
She will consult with conference organizers about program development, speakers, curriculum, marketing and recruitment of students. The program is designed to develop and encourage future leaders in media.
Cabalan was part of a select group of students from across the country who attended this year’s conference as a national correspondent and participated in solving practical and ethical problems inherent in journalism and media.
