Eight Roncalli students were honored with Anna’s Celebration of Excellence Awards for their efforts in helping children with special needs.
The students were recognized during the Anna’s Celebration of Life Foundation’s Rock the Night for Special Needs in December at The Atrium.
The honored students, all members of the foundation’s youth board, were Annie Schrader, Kelly Schubach, Joe Gervasio, Zach Smith, Kaleigh Wilham, Bailey Ransburg, Emily Murphy and Julia Martinez.
The board raised more than $6,000 by launching a Midnight Mile event, which attracted more than 300 students. The group also inspired the implementation of a Northside youth board.
