Kathleen Schuckel of Perry Meridian High School has been named a certified journalism instructor by the Journalism Education Association.
Schuckel, who will be honored by the association during its high school convention this fall in Indianapolis, was recognized for meeting national standards of preparation to teach journalism classes and advise student media.
She was also cited for continuing education and professional growth, knowledge of teaching and advising methods in journalism.
