Lutheran High School has named Emily Jones and Jared Chandler as its valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.
Jones, who hopes to become an author, earned a scholarship to study English at Purdue. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club and has been involved in theater, tennis and Academic Super Bowl. She is the daughter of Scott and Jennifer Jones.
Chandler, also a member of the society, has been active in football, basketball volleyball, golf, robotics, the Academic Super Bowl and Habitat for Humanity. He intends to major in biology at Indiana University before enrolling in medical school to become an anesthesiologist. He received the Kiwanis Indiana Academic All-Star Scholarship and the Provost’s Scholarship at IU. His parents are Robert and Carol Chandler.
