SUBMITTED PHOTO Gavin Hensley, a freshman at Southport High School and the son of Krista Metheny Hensley and Matt Hensley, visited Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic; Salsburg, Austria; and Munich, Germany; over the summer with his mom. “This was my first trip out of the United States, and it was much different than I expected,” said the grandson of Harold and Diane Metheny and Judy Hensley and the late Jim Hensley. “Hearing all the different languages made me feel different because I was not used to them. The people there were different too. Along with their kinds of food it was the experience of a lifetime. I hope that everyone has the opportunity to go somewhere out of the country at some point in their life. I am thankful that I have a family who can give me these experiences; I hope to be able to do it again.”
