St. Jude Grade School’s Andrew Gangstad (right) and Dylan Tadas took first- and fifth-place honors in Dow Agro-Sciences’ Indianapolis South You Be the Chemist Challenge on Saturday.
The competition allowed students to show off their knowledge of chemistry concepts, important discoveries and chemical safety awareness through a question-and-answer program.
Gangstad and Tadas will compete in the state meet April 16.
