The abstract artwork of Breanna Raney, a second-grader at Rosa Parks-Edison Elementary, will be displayed along with the Indiana Museum of Art’s “19 Stars of Indiana Art: A Bicentennial Celebration,” which opens May 15 for an eight-month run.
The exhibit will celebrate the artistic achievements of 19 men and women who were born, raised or worked in Indiana during the past 200 years.
As part of the exhibit, the museum hosted a student competition for children all over the city. Breanna’s creation took second-place honors in the pre-kindergarten through Grade 4 category.
