​DORIS “MARLENE” BREHOB, 86, husband, Richard Brehob; widow of Jack Quinton; children, Mark and Kevin Quinton, Pamela Daprile; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Marcia (Jack) Stanley; stepdaughters, Denise Brehob and Cara Young.
She was a member of Garfield Christian Church. Marlene graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and enjoyed attending the annual high school reunion. She worked at American States Insurance as a billing clerk.
Marlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and traveling with Richard.
Services conducted at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home.

BETTY R. BUNNELL, 96, widow of Paul Bunnell; children, Rick (Candy) Camden, Debbie (Jimmy) Kinz, Lisa (Steve) Phillips, Paul (Heikie) and David (Suzanne) Bunnell; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Seay; sister-in-law, Violet Bunnell.
Betty was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church. She retired from Indiana Insurance, and after retiring worked at various schools with special needs children and at Decatur Home Health where she often visited with the residents.
She loved to play rummy with her family, golfing, sitting in the sun, and she especially loved living life.
Visitation was held at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home.

RITCHIE ALAN CRAGO, 70, wife, Suzie Crago; children, Jeffrey (Jenni) Crago and Chelsea (Brian) Roberts; brother, Tony (Lisa) Crago; five grandchildren.
Ritchie spent his career with Homeland Security with the Federal Government until his retirement in 2020.
Ritchie loved his family dearly and spending quality time with them, especially his grandchildren. He loved to camp, travel and go on cruises. When he wanted solitude, he would browse the aisles of Menards. He took pride in all he did, especially tending to his lawn and yard, and the maintenance of his vehicles.
Services were held at Little & Sons Funeral Home.

ROSEMARY A. DIEKHOFF, 86, widow of Norbert Diekhoff; son, Michael (Annmarie) Diekhoff; siblings, Mary Ann (Norbert) Mayer, and Tom (Judy) Sanders; two grandsons.
A visitation was held at Little & Sons Funeral Home.

AGNES CHARLENE ROOKSBERRY FEE, 71, husband, Rodney; children, Tylene Allen, Vanessa Creech, Mikey Denton and Hailey Hickman; siblings, Billy Rooksberry, Patty Gregory, Betty Hadley, Francis Tate and Pam Sidden; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Charlene attended Harry E. Wood High School. After high school, Charlene married Rodney Fee in Garfield Park. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital for 19 years as a housekeeper. She had a love for all children and they brought her so much glee. She was tender-hearted, giving, and generous. Her hobbies included gardening, shopping and yard sales, and fishing.

CHESTER T. HAYES, 98, widower of Dorothy; son, Chester “Teddy” Hayes, Jr. (Marlo); 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Hayes.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Ted served in WWII with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for 42 years.
He had a great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and warm smile. Ted met the love of his life, Dorothy, at the local White Castle where he later proposed to her.
Visitation took place at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home.

JUDITH A. HOHLT, 85, husband, Dr. William Hohlt; children, Erich Rose, Kristel (Steven) Kearney, and Melody (Andrew) Nussbaum; stepchildren, Ann Broecker, Eric and James Hohlt, Heather Tapak; several grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Judi was employed by her husband’s grip equipment rental company in L.A. California which worked with studios making motion pictures such as Tootsie and the Fugitive.
She was a member of Sts. Francis and Clare Catholic Church.
Calling will be 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, June 15, at Sts. Francis and Clare Catholic Church. Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home handled arrangements.

SCOTT DAVID JONES, 52, children, Nicolas and Holli Jones; sister, Stephanie (James) Weidman; step-grandmother, Barbara Letts.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He liked watching Notre Dame and Colts football. He was a food enthusiast and loved spending time with his children and family.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Mt. Auburn Church, Greenwood.

JAMES F. LANHAM, JR., 81, widower of Sharon Lanham; niece, Vicki Poteet; nephew, Gregory Lanham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1961-1965.
He enjoyed listening to music, driving fast cars, riding roller coasters, and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home.

JOHN ALBERT MASON, 88, wife, Lorene Mason; children, Pamela (Mark) Prather, Gary Mason (companion Kathryn Koger); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren.
John worked at IPS-Facilities Management as a supervisor, retiring after 37 years. He served on Greenwood City Council, was a member of the Jaycees and helped start Gateway Learning Center. He was a Southport Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Murat Temple member.  
He was a fan of IU basketball, Cincinnati Reds, and the Colts.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home.
ARLEEN K. HUMMEL HASH PERKINS, 84, husband, Richard “Nate” Perkins, Sr.; children, David and Richard “Nate” Perkins, Jr., Jennifer Brown (Denis), Jeffrey Hash (Dr. Patty Scott); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Indiana Central College and taught about four decades of elementary children throughout her career, including teaching many of her students’ children. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she always found a way to be of service. She blessed multitudes of souls throughout her journey.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove.

FRANCES M. PICKETT, 92, widow of Eugene Pickett; son, David (Joyce) Combs; two grandchildren; stepdaughters, Rhonda (Dave) Wyszynski and Regena Pickett.
She was a longtime member of Crosswalk Community Church of God, where she enjoyed social events and choir. She worked for Thompson Consumer Electronics, retiring in 1992. Frances was an avid reader, enjoyed learning sign language and quilting.
Visitation took place at G.H. Herrmann Avenue Funeral Home.

RICHARDSON “DICK” SHANLEY, 89, wife, Carole Shanley; sons, Michael (Jill), Scott (Terry), Rick (Alli) Shanley; sister, Sue Parsons; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Dick served in the U.S. Army before embarking on a 33-year career at Ford Motor Co.
He found joy in simple pleasures like taking naps and spending quality time with his loved ones. Dick was an avid golfer. He enjoyed friendly games of bridge, euchre, and bowling. He was a season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts since 1984.
Services are 9-10:45 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Home.

JUDY ANN SITZMAN, 81, husband, Dick; children, Ken (Jill), Kevin, Keith (Angela), and Kate Sitzman; seven grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Jerry, and Richard Schooley.
She had been employed as an RN at St. Francis Hospital, and Southside Healthcare. Judy was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church since 1967. She baked potica every Christmas and Easter. She loved swimming at the YMCA and in the family’s pool. Judy enjoyed camping, word puzzles, and supporting her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic teams.
Visitation will be at St. Barnabas Catholic Church 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12. Lauck & Veldof Funeral Home handled arrangements.

BRADY RAYMOND SMITH-HUGHES, 4, parents, Alex Hughes and Kylie Smith-Banks; brother, Dawson Banks; grandparents, Lisa Schwarzkopf, Kevin Hughes, Douglas Smith, Tina Robinson, David Banks, Wendi Mahurin (Frank); great-grandparents, Joann Clark (Herb), Hilda Buttz, Barbara Schwarzkopf, Donna Wolfe, John Hudson, David Banks (Diane); great-great-grandmother, Iris Hudson.
He was a happy, energetic and sweet little boy who loved his family very much. He enjoyed playing hide-and-go-seek, video games, role-playing with superhero costumes, riding his bike, being outside and watching movies. His favorite movies were “Spider-Man,” “Trolls,” “Shrek,” “Cocomelon” and “Paw Patrol.”
Funeral services were held at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home.
BRIAN D. SOBEL, 63, wife, Jean Sobel; daughter, Jennifer Nicholson; two grandchildren; parents, Jerome and Iris Sobel; siblings, Max (Terry), Ross and Lisa Sobel.
A master of woodworking and cabinetry, Brian dedicated his life to honing his skills in woodworking, where he displayed unmatched talent and artistry. Brian had a love for the sport of boxing.
Family was at the center of Brian’s world. His bond with his daughter, Jennifer, was unbreakable. Brian’s personality was a unique blend of wisdom and feistiness.
Brian’s memorial will be noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Home.

BRANDI MCNEELY SYNESAEL, 49, husband, Michael Synesael; children, Ashley (Michael) Cook, Sean Synesael; five grandchildren; mother, Beverly (Jerry) Claburn; siblings, Thomas “Bubba” McNeely, August (Marc) Cook, Summer Riley, Emily McNeely.
She was a homemaker. Brandi enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She enjoyed camping and hiking in her earlier years, getting her nails done, going on walks, and her weekly Sunday facetime with her “little turkeys”.
Visitation took place at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home.

STEPHANIE TREADWELL, 57, husband, Gary; children, Christopher (Katie) and Amanda Treadwell; sisters, Michele (Mike) Beard and Ann (Mike) Gough; three grandchildren.
She graduated from Roncalli High School in 1985. Stephanie enjoyed a 34-year career with Delta Airlines, allowing her to travel extensively. She loved playing euchre. She had a gift of instinct and knew how to read people and their needs. A beautiful person, Stephanie was often admired for her sense of style, both in her personal style and her home décor. Engaging, loving, smart, and kind are all words that describe her.

RONALD “DAVID” WILLIAMS, 77, wife, Maria Williams; son, David (Sarah) Williams; brothers, John and Donald Williams.
David served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Rolls-Royce in 2010. As a lifelong “factory rat,” he spoke fondly of the joys he encountered at the workplace and with his co-workers.
David liked to sing bluegrass tunes, much to his family’s detriment. He lived a rich life. David loved to spend time with his wife and son. He was always proud of his son and strived to give him the best opportunities to excel in life.

CONNIE ADAMS WILSON, 66, husband, Michael Wilson; children, Andrew (Ashley) and Amy Wilson; one granddaughter; siblings, Nega Lee, Archie Adams, and Fayerene Walden.
Connie worked as an administrative assistant for IU Health Methodist Hospital for 42 years. She consistently looked for ways to help others throughout her life. Connie enjoyed quilting, cooking, the Autumn season and would never turn down a chance to listen to Donny Osmond. She especially loved her role as a MiMi. Connie’s life was a living example of her strong faith in Jesus.

Stephanie Treadwell, 57, lifelong Indianapolis resident, passed away June 2, 2024.  Stephanie was born July 19, 1966, in Beech Grove, to the late Paul and Betty (Turk) Dicus.
​Stephanie married Gary Treadwell on June 1, 2007, and he survives.She graduated from Roncalli High School in 1985 and later earned a degree in criminal law from Franklin College.  Stephanie enjoyed a 34-year career with Delta Airlines as a gate agent that availed her an opportunity to travel extensively through the years.  She especially enjoyed trips to California where she could enjoy both the mountains and beach to recharge.  While traveling was always enjoyed, Stephanie was quite content enjoying a fire on their back porch with family and friends.  She loved playing euchre with girlfriends and never turned down an opportunity to take in a sporting event for one of the grandchildren. Being a best friend came naturally to Stephanie.  In addition to her two sisters, she was a true best friend to many.  She had a wonderful gift of instinct and knew how to read people and their needs.  A beautiful person, Stephanie was often admired for her sense of style, both in her personal style and her home décor.  Engaging, loving, smart, and kind are all words that help describe the wonderful person that made Stephanie a beloved wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many.  Her memory will be forever cherished by a loving family and many friends. Survivors include her husband, Gary; children, Christopher (Katie) Treadwell and Amanda Treadwell; sisters, Michele (Mike) Beard and Ann (Mike) Gough; grandchildren, Brayden, Addison, and Megan Treadwell; nieces and nephews, Chad, Rachael, and Christian Beard; Sam and Mitchell Gough.A Life Celebration® Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, 9 -11 a.m., in St. Roch Catholic Church.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with Fr. BERNETHY, SR., 62, wife, Dawn Bernethy; children, Christyann Honeycutt (Dustin), Daryl Bernethy II (Jeni), Renee’ Peralta (Josh); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; father, Robert Bernethy; siblings, Robert (Jackie), Daniel (Brenda), Jack (Cindy), and Jeff Bernethy, Tina Voller (Larry).
He worked for the Mays Chemical Co. as a chemical operator for the past eight years.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel.

CHARLES “CHUCK” E. BOLES, 65, siblings, Joseph Radican, James Boles, Pamela Alte, Bart and Mike Reiger.
Charles proudly served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years as a communications technical control operator. He had a profound love for reading. Charles enjoyed the intellectual challenge of chess and was a formidable opponent. He harbored a soft spot for science fiction, allowing his imagination to roam free within the realms of distant galaxies and futuristic technologies.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Roch Catholic Church.

MONNA BELLE CALDWELL, 87, widow of Donald Caldwell; children, Misti (Jeffrey) McCloud and Eddie (Tabitha) Caldwell; brothers, Joe and Jerry Merida; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Monna was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1954. She worked for Walmart for many years prior to her retirement. Monna will be remembered most as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who always put her family first.

HAZEL CAMPBELL, 101, widow of Willie Campbell; children, Daryl (Teresa) and Vicki Campbell; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Hazel was a proud homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Shelby Street Pentecostal Light House with her husband from 1973 until present. Hazel enjoyed tending to her flowers and playing the piano. She will be remembered for her organized personality and soft-spoken nature.

REX HEDEGARD, 80, wife, Sharon; children, Collin (Simmi) Hedegard, Maiken (Jérôme) Badouret, and Tyler Hedegard (Lila Dinata); four grandchildren; siblings, Arlene (Anton) Sohn, Alan (Betty), Richard (Jane), Mark (Pat), and Kurt Hedegard.
He taught chemistry at Perry Meridian High School. He loved spending time with family, woodworking, gardening, tennis and fishing at the lake.
Many will miss his kindness, his willingness to share his knowledge about many things and teach, his faithfulness to his values and principles, but most of all, his way of always saying something encouraging to those he encountered.

JAMES F. IVORY, JR., 77, widower of Diana; daughter, Vicky Downs (Jeremy); sister, Kathy Bacha; two granddaughters; partner, Jeanne Montgomery.
Jim was known by those who loved him as one of the easiest-going men one could hope to meet. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Grenadier.
He enjoyed a long career as a Credit Manager. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling, reading, and golfing. Jim was known to state that, aside from his family, his greatest achievement was the hole-in-one he shot in 2014.

MARK R. JENKINSON, 68, widower of Patricia Vise-Jenkinson; children, Stefanie King, Ryan (Erin) Jenkinson; brother David (Tammy) Jenkinson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Purdue University. He retired after 35+ years at Eli Lilly & Company. He was a proud past-worthy president of the Beech Grove Eagles Aerie 4167 and a member of the Five Points Conservation Club. He enjoyed activities including flying remote-controlled airplanes, golfing, camping, fishing, and hunting.
A gathering of friends and family will be 12-3 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Little & Sons, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove.
PHILIP JOSEPH “P.J.” MILTO, 26, parents, Phil and Tricia; brothers, Nicholas (Lindsey) and Joey Milto; grandmother, Wilma McDermott.
 P.J. was a kind, loving, happy young man with an infectious smile that would light up any room. He taught all who knew him many life lessons and was an inspiration to all. He attended the Indiana School for the Blind and Center Grove. His family belongs to St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
He was afflicted with a rare genetic disorder called Late Infantile Batten disease.

LAURA JEAN MORGASON, 91, widow of George Morgason; children, Loretta Goodmon, Kathryn Hittel, Linda (Dan Crosby) Bornstein, and Daniel Morgason; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Laura was an avid bowler and enjoyed her card clubs. She was a member of Southport Christian Church. She retired from Anthem Blue Cross.

DAVID WILLIAM ORTMAN, 81, widower of Vera Ortman; children, Charles (Kelly) Jones, Anthony (Julie) and Michael (Amanda) Ortman; 10 grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during Vietnam. He was a Maintenance Supervisor at Indianapolis Power & Light for 29 years and owner of Westside Gymnastics & Cheer Inc.
He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.
He enjoyed watching sports; the Cincinnati Reds, Colts, auto racing and spending time with his beloved family and cherished friends.

WAYNE CURTIS ROCKWELL, 89, widower of Luanne; daughters, Rhonda (Jim), Cheri (Matt); four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
In high school, he was a scholar and basketball star, and after graduating he got a degree in Industrial Engineering.
He had a passion for golf, traveling, singing, barbershop and in church choirs, dancing with his wife, and being with family.
A celebration of life will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at University Heights Christian Church, 4050 Shelby St.

RAEVEN BREANNA SAYLOR, 27, widow of Stephen Saylor; daughter, Bre’Ellah Saylor; stepson, Elijah Saylor; mother, April Sutton (Steve); father, Raymond Patterson; sisters, Shaquial Patterson and Destinee Graves.
She received her High School Diploma from Indiana Workforce Development. She was pursuing her bachelor’s degree in IT Security. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service.
When she wasn’t chasing her daughter, she loved spending time with her sister, Desi, watching TV or doing puzzles. She gave her life to Christ in 2012.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home.

RITA LOUISE SMITH, 87, widow of Don Smith; children, Christopher, Donald (Carol), and Anita Smith; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Harrison.    
Rita was an active St. Jude parishioner. She loved animals, was a talented gardener, artist, and a prolific writer of letters and cards to provide words of encouragement, celebration, and sympathy and to remind people she was thinking and praying for them. Rita was a devout Roman Catholic who practiced her faith with conviction and expressed it through her decades of service to others.
Visitation took place at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Home.

CHARLIE MATHEW STOUT, 68, wife, Darlene Stout; children, April, Justin, and Kyle (Crystal) Stout; two grandchildren; brothers, Steve (Pandora), David (Karin), and Donald Stout.
He worked 46 years at Amtrak while working a second part-time job for 48 years. His unwavering commitment and strong work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of all those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. He will be remembered as a legend (aka “Mr. Amtrak”) for his contributions to Amtrak.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St., Beech Grove.

ADELAIDE THOMAS, 80, husband, Ben Thomas.
Adelaide had worked as a school teacher in Ontario, and then in 1984, Adelaide became a United States citizen. She retired from IPL. Adelaide and Ben were married for 47 years.
She was an avid reader and a member of the Moose Lodge.
Visitation was held at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home.

MOLLY MARIE THOMAS, 88, widow of Jack Thomas; children, Karen (Lynn) Jackson, Douglas and Michael Thomas (Lucas Capuzzo), Kelly (Jerry) Adkins; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mabel Prewitt, Ovie (Retha) Cromer.
Molly was a member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed watching food shows. Molly was a talented seamstress, creating clothing, aprons, and even her daughter’s wedding dress. Molly and her husband were avid supporters of the annual Indiana-Kentucky High School All-Star basketball games.
Visitation is at 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

VERNON “BUTCH” VANHORN, SR., 84, widower of Genevieve VanHorn; children, Peggy Robertson (Donald), Brenda Carlson (Steven), Richard (Gail) and Vernon VanHorn, Jr.; siblings, Margaret Martin, Elden, Marion, Eugene, Donald, Herbert and Gernard VanHorn, Jr.; eight grandchildren: nine great-grandchildren.
He was a graduate of Manual High School. He served as an optician from 1955 to his retirement in 2013. He was employed by Lenscrafters from 1978-2013.
Butch enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, and watching the Colts, Pacers and IU, but more than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

BARBARA JEAN RATTS WINEINGER, 93, widow of Noel “Ray” Wineinger; family, Linda (Dave) Meador, Lisa (Ed) Hannon, Larry and David (Beth) Wineinger; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
 She and Ray celebrated 67 years together. She especially loved her trips to the Gulf Coast with the family and Ray alone. She had a strong faith and love of life which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She loved reading. She always had a stick of gum in her purse for her grandchildren and donuts in the kitchen.
