Perry Township Schools celebrated Read Across America Day and Dr. Suess’ birthday March 2 with a variety of reading activities. Over at the Early Childhood Academy, children cozied up in their pajamas while Dave Bagwell, the township’s learning specialist, and Matt Willey, chief technology officer, read to them. Superintendent Thomas Little also got in on the fun by reading “Oh, the Places You’ll Go,” his favorite Dr. Seuss book, to children in Mrs. Langdon’s preschool classroom. First-graders at Lincoln Elementary enjoyed a day of Dr. Seuss activities, dressing up as their favorite book characters and even eating green eggs and ham. |
