Center Grove and Greenwood captured sectional championships Friday.
The 6A Trojans edged visiting Columbus North 20-14 on touchdowns by Carson Steele and Gavin Matheson and two field goals by Luke Eckert for their seventh consecutive title.
Greenwood nailed its first championship in 12 years by dominating host Mooresville 59-32. The Woodmen led 27-16 at the half and scored 19 points in the fourth quarter. Nick Willham ran for four touchdowns, and quarterback Seth Gallman rushed for three. Greenwood racked up 492 yards rushing.
In semifinals Friday, No. 13 Center Grove (6-5) goes to No. 6 Avon (9-2) and Mississenewa (10-2) visits No. 11 Greenwood.
