Girls interested in playing on Roncalli’s junior Rebel teams in the fall Indy Hoops League are welcome to attend an evaluation program on Sunday, Aug. 17, at the high school, 3300 Prague Road.
Third- and fourth-graders will be assessed from 2-3:30 p.m., fifth- and sixth-graders, 3:30-5 p.m.; and seventh- and eighth-graders, 5-6:30 p.m. 
If selected to play, the participation fee is $50, $60 if a jersey is needed. Those chosen will need a parent on hand to sign the release of liability and pay the registration fee.
Games will be played on Sundays beginning in September.

Central Indiana Young Marines is hosting its inaugural golf outing Saturday, Aug. 9, at Winding Ridge Golf Club.
The Florida scramble, which is open to the public, will get under way with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and there will be prizes, raffles and a silent auction. The cost is $80 per person, $320 per foursome. Register by visiting www.ciym.ezregister.com by Friday, Aug 1.  
Military members are requested to wear apparel that designates their branch of service and bring a corresponding service flag that can be attached to their golf carts. 
Proceeds will be used to support the Young Marines’ annual unit encampment at Bradford Woods in Martinsville.
