Hawk brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Falcons, having coached at the University of Georgia, Samford and the University of New Orleans.
She also spent five years as a teacher and head coach at Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie, La., where she accumulated a record of 124-76 and qualified for the state tournament every year, reaching the semifinals while going 40-6 in 2013.
Hawk had a stellar college career as a player at the University of Michigan. She led the team to three NCAA tournaments while breaking the school record with 1,562 kills and 1,381 digs. She graduated with 230 blocks, 158 assists, 60 service aces and a 3.46 kills per game average.
A graduate of Center Grove High School, Hawk led the Trojans to the 2000 4A state championship. She and her husband, Deputy U.S. Marshall Garrett Hawk, have a daughter, Skylar.
