UMPIRE for SENIOR WORLD SERIES
SUBMITTED PHOTO Southsider Richard “Rick” Neibart, a 31-year veteran of the Pike Township Fire Department, will realize a life-long dream when he umpires the Baseball Senior League World Series in Bangor, Maine, in August. “My love of the game was inspired by my father (Rich Neibert), said Neibart. “He umpired our Little League, and I followed his footsteps, umpiring for the past 30 years. The World Series was our dream, and my only regret is that he won’t be sitting in the stands to see our dream come to fruition. We did it Dad! Happy Father’s Day!”
