The lady Greyhounds dropped both of their games last week, losing to William Jewell (Mo.) 68-60 and to Rockhurst (Mo.) 74-68.

Nicole Anderson led UIndy (14-11, 8-7 Great Lakes Valley Conference) with 20 points against William Jewell. A couple of late-game mistakes proved costly.

Anderson also led the team in the second game with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Martha Burse scored 19, dished out five assists and had three rebounds.

The team’s final home games of the season are against Lewis (Ill.) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Wisconsin-Parkside at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The men’s team (14-9, 11-4), which will also face those teams after the women’s games, knocked off William Jewell 90-80 last week. Roncalli graduate Jimmy King scored 11 points, had six assists and grabbed five rebounds. UIndy also defeated Rockhurst 81-72 behind Ajay Lawton’s 21 points. King chipped in 10 and had eight assists and five rebounds.

Over at Marian, the men’s team (13-15, 6-8 Crossroads League) split a pair of games, losing to Grace 70-68 despite Wesley Stowers’ 27 points. The Knights rebounded to defeat Huntington 77-60 behind Stowers’ 24 points and seven rebounds. Perry Meridian grad Curtis Green scored 14 points and had five rebounds and three steals.

The guys host Goshen at 3 p.m. Saturday in their final regular-season home game of the season.

The women’s team (25-3, 15-1) downed Grace 91-73 behind five players in double figures, including Roncalli grad Kelli Kirkhoff, who scored 11 points. The victory clinched the team’s second regular- season league title in a row and marked coach Katie Geralds’ 100th career victory in 131 games at Marian. The Knights also defeated Huntington 84-74.

Upcoming games include a road contest against Bethel today and a 1 p.m. home tip Saturday against Goshen before league tournaments start for all the teams.
