The Trojans reached the final game by scoring the last 14 points in the fourth quarter Nov. 15 for a come-from-behind win against Greenwood, 47-36. The Woodmen (5-2) recovered Saturday and took third place against Edinburgh 70-41.
In an all-Southside game last week, undefeated Beech Grove easily defeated host Lutheran 63-31. Cameron Cardenas, Katie Giller, Mallory Storms, Neasia Lee and Mya Crawford scored in double figures for the Hornets. Cardenas snared nine rebounds. Senior Darianne Snyder scored 12 points for Lutheran (1-3). Scecina visits Beech Grove (4-0) Friday in an Indiana Crossroads game.
Manual (4-4) evened its record by dominating Providence Cristo Rey 64-20. The Redskins have won four straight games, holding those opponents to an average of 17.7 points per game.
Southport (1-6) and Perry Meridian (1-3) captured their first wins last week.
Southport defeated Tech 58-37 as Savannah Edington scored 14 points and Lexi Green added 12.
Perry Meridian handled Bloomington North 67-38. The Falcons were led by Sadie Hill, 20 points, 13 rebounds; Savannah Pipes, 15 points; and Caitie Baird, 12 points, three blocks.
