McCoy earlier caught a short pass from senior Joe Siderewicz for the Trojans’ second TD and a quick 17-0 lead. Opportunistic Center Grove scored after a blocked punt, a fumble recovery and an intercepted pass. Carmel clawed back with two touchdowns and took a 21-17 lead in the third quarter.
Each team rolled to more than 470 yards of offense.
Jackson Hohlt scored CG’s first TD and was the leading rusher with 113 yards on 13 carries.
