Southport ended its season Friday with an 8-3 record – its fifth winning campaign in the last seven years – when losing to 6A No. 5 Warren Central 54-17.
The Cardinals had a record year on offense with senior quarterback Luke Johnston setting five career and two season records.
Johnston ends his high school career as the greatest passer in Southport history. Receiver Blake Evans set one career, three season and three single-game records. Kicker Edgar Aleman set two career records.
