Coach’s comments: “I’m super excited about this group. They know each other well, so the experience on the court looks good. We have a lot of different options this year, something we haven’t had in the past. We are looking at different players in different spots. The intense competition for spots is new, something we haven’t had in the past. This group is intense even in drills. We have higher expectations on and off the court, and we hope that changes the culture. Offensively, our opponents know we will go to Lauren (Cullison), so our front-row players will have to play smart and make a play when they have opportunities. Defensively, we will be scrappy; I like that. We’re working hard on out-of-system plays, if we’re not in the right position.  We had high expectations last year that we didn’t reach. We want a winning season, win our invitation and play big in sectionals because we are the host team.”
