| Beech Grove Middle School’s girls and boys cross-country teams had a respectable showing in the relay-style Hokum Karum at Decatur on Aug. 27. Placing for the girls varsity teams were Shayla Traas and Megan Goldman, fifth; Kayla Shepherd and Hannah Chandler, sixth; Destiny Deer and Alexa Peak, 18th; Marissa Hancock and Hailie Shepherd, 19th; and Emily Johnson and Kaitlyn Aldrich, 26th. Leading the reserve race for the Hornets were Hayleigh Ellis and Abby Colson. Placing for the boys varsity team were Jon-Karl Vuskalns and Tyler Osborn, 15th; Gavin Hess and Coy Doyle, 16th; Isaiah Gwinn and Trent Eckstein, 22nd; Alex Lagle and Collin Eckstein 26th and Marcus Traas and Carson Collinsworth 31st. Leading the squad in the reserve race were Bradley Black, Nathan Bogard, Kaleb Arsenault and Jace Hodge. |
