Southport Middle School’s Lexie Green and Rachel Dean set school records while competing in track and field this spring.
Lexie set records in the 800-, 1,600- and 2,400-meter runs with times of 2 minutes, 28.56 seconds, 5:24.0 and 8:39.4, respectively. Rachel set a record in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, 6 inches.
