Roncalli volleyball players Samantha Fogg, Olivia Gillum, AJ Lux, Bailey Schnell and Lizzie Britner have signed letters of intent to play collegiately. The quintet was part of the talented team that led the Rebels to county, sectional and regional championships in 2014.

Fogg, daughter of Brian and Kim Fogg, will play for coach Sherry Dunbar at Indiana University, where she plans to study finance. Fogg was named second-team All-State and was an All-Marion County selection. In addition, she was a two-time member of the All-County golf team.

Gillum, co-captain of this year’s squad, will play for Ryan Young at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She amassed more than 1,000 digs during her career, was a member of the All-County team in 2013 and was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.  She is the daughter of Mike and Amy Gillum.

Lux will continue her career at East Tennessee State, where she will play for coach Lindsey Devine. Lux, daughter of Jared and Leigh Lux, plans on studying criminal justice.

Schnell signed to play at Western Michigan for Colleen Munson.  She was an Under Armour honorable mention All-American and first- team All-State selection in 2014, as well as a Junior South All-Star and a second-team All-State member in 2013. Schnell, daughter of Jay and Angie Schnell, plans to study prelaw.

Britner, daughter of Mark and Estelle Britner, will play for coach Steve Florio at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. An Academic All-State honorable mention, she plans on majoring in English and education.
