Roncalli’s boys swimming and diving team won its second straight Circle City Conference title Saturday at Ben Davis High School. The Rebels tallied 447 points to top a five-team field of Brebeuf Jesuit, Guerin, Chatard and Heritage Christian.
Senior Jack Bauer won the 200 individual medley for the second consecutive year. Senior Jason Croddy (500 freestyle) registered a lifetime best, as did juniors Derek Elam (100 backstroke) and David Johnson (100 freestyle) and sophomores William Hawkins (200 and 500 freestyle), Ethan Gosser (50 freestyle), Joe Sizemore (500 freestyle, 100 backstroke) and Alex Nettles (100 backstroke) and freshman Matthew Croddy (100 freestyle).
Bauer, junior Gabe Buening (200 individual medley) and freshman Ethan McGuire (100 breaststroke) all posted season bests.
The Rebels competed against Brebeuf on Tuesday at the Indiana University at Natatorium, but the results were unavailable at press time.
