Perry Meridian High School has recognized Brand Martin and Nate Mills as its Athletes of the Month for December.
Martin, a junior point guard for the girls basketball team, is enjoying a solid season, having played in all 16 games, starting 12 of them. Martin is described as steady player who handles the ball a lot while making few mistakes. She is a strong defensive player and has the capability to score.
Mills is a junior on the boys team and averages 16 points and six rebounds. He was the Most Valuable Player of the Shelby Shootout tourney in December. He is known as an outstanding student and is an ambassador for his school.
