Chris Etherington Chris Etherington, recently named coach of the men’s and women’s swim teams at Perry Meridian High School, has been selected to mentor a competitive group of swimmers at Southside Indy Aquatics.
A 2005 graduate of Kokomo High, Etherington was a state champion in the 50-yard butterfly as senior. A three-time National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American, he placed 13th at Nationals and received an offer to try out for the Olympics.
He went on to swim for Purdue, where he set three records, one of which still stands.
Etherington, whose wife is Jenna, previously served as an assistant coach at Lawrence Central for five years.
