Greenwood Christian Academy knew it had a tough test hosting No. 3 Tindley in the sectional final Saturday and came out firing, hitting two 3-pointers for a 6-0 lead from Alexis Mead and Grace Peters. The Tigers responded with a 20-4 run to close the quarter and took a 41-27 lead into halftime. Tindley began the third with a 14-0 spurt and ran away to 83-53 win.
Freshmen Isabella Reed led GCA with 19 points with 17 from the foul line. Peters in her final game with Cougars scored 14. Sophomore Mead had 10. Other GCA scorers include Abigail Muck (5), Senior Sarah Mangan (3) and Morgan Haynes with two. It was the final game for seniors Abigail Hickman and Grace Apgar as well. GCA ends the year at 19-7.
