
She currently mentors the distance runners in the spring as an assistant track coach and will continue in that position.
“We are excited for Robyn to take over our girls cross-country program,” Roncalli athletic director David Lauck said. “Combined with her role in the spring, it allows her to coach our distance runners year-round, which will greatly benefit our student-athletes and allow them to improve and develop as runners.”
Witty, who teaches environmental science and biology at Roncalli, is a 2002 graduate of the school and a former two-time NCAA Division III All-American runner at Franklin College, where she was a six-time national championship qualifier and the track and cross-country captain in 2005 and ’06. She was as an assistant coach at the college from 2013-16.
